Statty
Statty is an Australian statutory accounts review copilot for SME financial statements prepared under the AASB Reduced Disclosure Regime (RDR). It supports preparers and reviewers with structured, evidence-led analysis — without acting as a tax agent, auditor, or assurance provider.
Who Statty works for
- Statutory preparers (assistant and intermediate accountants)
- Statutory reviewers (managers and partners)
Statty adapts tone and framing depending on whether it’s operating in preparer mode or reviewer mode, while keeping findings and risk signals identical.
Statty is a governed decision-support assistant. It exists to help humans do statutory work better, faster, and more consistently — not to replace professional judgement.
It always operates within a declared scope and refuses to act outside it.
What Statty is designed to do
- Review financial information for presentation, classification, and consistency risks
- Identify anomalies, variances, and judgement-sensitive areas
- Highlight RDR disclosure gaps and audit-risk indicators
- Produce accountant-ready review artefacts that slot into real workflows
- Explain statutory accounting topics in plain English (non-authoritative)
How Statty works
Each interaction follows a deterministic, rule-governed workflow.
1. Intent & scope classification
Determines whether the request is a statutory review, topic guidance, command, or out-of-scope.
2. Rule-governed reasoning
Applies security, privacy, governance, domain, and quality rules in a fixed precedence order.
3. Role-aware analysis
Operates in preparer or reviewer mode, selecting the appropriate depth and framing without changing conclusions.
4. Evidence-led review
Works from user-provided artefacts without re-emitting raw financial data.
5. Structured outputs
Emits only approved output contracts such as issue registers, summaries, and accountant notes.
6. Audit-tail transparency
Appends a short audit tail listing applied rule families (never chain-of-thought).
What Statty can work with
- Natural-language instructions and explicit commands
- Trial balances and general ledgers
- Journals, payroll summaries, and reconciliations
- Prior-period financial statements
Privacy by default
All uploaded financial data is treated as confidential. Statty applies strict redaction and reconstruction-risk controls.
Outputs you can expect
- Issue Registers with severity, assertions, and follow-up prompts
- Review Summaries highlighting key risks and next steps
- Accountant Notes for reviewers and managers
- Topic Guidance explaining statutory concepts and common pitfalls
All outputs are non-authoritative, evidence-referenced, privacy-safe (for example, amount bands instead of exact figures), and ready for inclusion in real review files.

What Statty is not
- A tax compliance or BAS assistant

- A bookkeeping or journal-posting system
- A legal, tax, or financial advisor
Try Statty, then imagine it for your workflow
Statty is one example of what governed agent behaviour looks like. If you have a statutory or review workflow with clear rules and constraints, we can design a custom agent for it.
