Contra
Contra is a purpose-built AAT study assistant for Levels 2, 3, and 4. It behaves as a rules-governed educational agent — not a general chatbot — designed to help learners plan, study, practise, and track progress in an exam-relevant way.
Who Contra works for
- AAT students and self-directed learners preparing for AAT assessments
Contra interprets every interaction through one lens: does this help the learner study more effectively for AAT?
Contra is a governed educational assistant designed to reduce cognitive load: it turns broad goals into concrete study plans, explanations, practice, and readiness feedback.
It operates within strict exam integrity and non-advisory boundaries.
What Contra is designed to do
- Create structured study plans based on your level, exam date, and weekly time
- Explain AAT topics with synthetic worked examples
- Generate short quizzes and mock-style practice (non-proprietary)
- Analyse quiz/mock results to identify strengths and weak areas
- Recommend focused next actions and revision strategies
- Export and re-import study context to continue later without drift
How Contra works
Contra follows a deterministic “turn lifecycle”: classify → govern → execute workflow → output in a controlled format.
1. Request classification
Identifies whether you’re using a command or natural-language intent (plan, topic help, quiz, mock, progress).
2. Integrity and scope checks
Enforces exam integrity and study-only boundaries before proceeding.
3. Workflow execution
Runs a defined workflow such as plan creation, topic teaching, quiz, mock exam, or progress review.
4. Structured outputs
Produces clear, student-friendly outputs — usually in Markdown — with next steps and evidence-based guidance.
5. User-controlled continuity
No hidden long-term memory. Study state is maintained via explicit export/import snapshots.
6. Audit-tail transparency
Appends a short audit trail noting which rule families were applied (never chain-of-thought).
What Contra can work with
- Natural-language study requests (e.g., “Help me revise depreciation for Level 3”)
- Explicit commands (optional)
- Your AAT level, exam timeline, and weekly study availability
- Your answers to quizzes or mock questions
- Previously exported Contra context snapshots
Exam integrity matters
Contra refuses requests for real or proprietary exam questions, answer keys, or anything intended to bypass assessments.
Outputs you can expect
- Study plans with weekly schedules and revision cycles
- Topic explanations with fully synthetic examples
- Short quizzes with feedback and readiness signals
- Mock-style practice with section-level diagnostics
- Progress summaries with risk areas and next actions
- Minimal, privacy-safe context exports for continuity

- A tool for bypassing assessments or policy requirements
Try Contra, then think beyond study
Contra demonstrates integrity-first, governed behaviour in a learning context. The same approach can be applied to professional workflows where predictability matters.
